Cargo Worthy containers are the same as “Used – Wind and Water Tight” containers except they have been surveyed by a licensed inspector and certified to be safe for lifting being fully loaded and worthy of overseas transport. This means they must seal and function properly and be structurally adequate for loading and stacking. Containers with excessive damage in key areas will be rejected.  A minimal amount of exterior panel damage and patches of surface rust should be expected.

If you plan on exporting with your own container (Shipper Owned Container or SOC), you should expect the shipping line to require inspection documentation and the container must have a recent inspection sticker applied to the CSC Plate.
